IRVING, Texas—Marshall cross country senior William Shaffer (Madison, W.Va.) was named a Conference USA Spirit of Service honoree Wednesday by C-USA Commissioner Judy MacLeod. Shaffer is one of 14 student-athletes that will receive the award.
